Colleen Kanaley Dow - TCRG. Colleen began dancing at an early age under the instruction of Maureen Haley, TCRG of Co. Galway. Colleen placed top 5 at the New England Chapmpionships many times between 2005-2011 and also competed in the North American National, and World Championships. Before retiring in 2012, Colleen performed with artists such as Tony Kenny and Eileen Ivers of Riverdance. Colleen is a registered TCRG, an Irish Dancing Teacher approved by the Irish Gaelic Commission of Dublin Ireland.
In 2004 Ms. Silva studied and completed four grade levels of Traditional Irish Dance in Limerick, Ireland and continued her training from: BLAS: International Summer School for Irish Traditional Music and Dance at the University of Limerick and Scoil uí Ruairc by training with Orfhlaith NiBhriain until 2012 as well as at the Catskills Irish Arts Week with Kieran Jordan in 2011 and 2012. Through Holly’s 33 years as a professional dancer, choreographer and teacher of many forms she has taught, among others, academic courses of Traditions of Irish Dance and has been on the faculty of the Boston Ballet Summer Youth Division for 2005 and 2006 in three levels of Irish Step Dance and OLLI (Osher Long Life Learning Institute) which taught Ceili Dance forms to mature adults. Over the past three years she has completed teaching an Adult Beginner Irish Step class at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod in Yarmouth, an 8 week series through the Kanaley School of Irish Dance, and a 6 week series of the same at the Sandwich Recreational Center. From 2014 to the present, she has been studying the Irish Set (partnering)dance form with Sean Murphy.
